Edna Valley MacGregor Vineyard, Chardonnay 1986

Tasting Notes

Release Date: Fall 1988

1986 was quite a year for the MacGregor Vineyard in Edna Valley. From the first sniff one encounters a panoply of citrine and tropical fruit aromas with an intriguing complexity of orange blossom and mint. Full and long on the palate, the flavors provide what the aromas promise, with a refreshing verve and finesse. The strong juicy core of fruit, in combination with the firm natural acidity, suggests development in the bottle for three to five years.

This M. E. V. is a special wine. One that competes well with the Estate Chardonnay for attention.
