Release Date: Fall 2007
This is our twenty-first vintage from this vineyard, the oldest producing in the Edna Valley. 2005 was a typically cool season for this site with harvest commencing on October 7th. The Edna Valley appellation as a whole, and especially this vineyard, is the last to harvest Chardonnay in the state.
Aged nine months in barrel and an additional fourteen months in bottle, this 2005 is fully developed. Beautiful aromas of honeysuckle and mint lead to a deep complex yet elegant fruit-driven flavors across the palate. Vineyard specific earth and lime nuances rise in the aftertaste.
