The Underground Wineletter

- August/September 1980

This estate bottled Cabernet from the Santa Cruz Mountains is a wine of gigantic proportions—dark, rich, and concentrated, but yet not excessively tannic. Make no mistake, the wine will require at least 5-10 years bottle age to develop, yet the resultant wine should be harmonious in a big style. Only 175 cases were produced and the stiff $30 price tag is as much a reflection of quantity and quality. 16 ½ Very Good
