Wine Spectator
Intense, firmly tannic still, with earthy, mushroomy cedar, currant and wild berry flavors that are holding together, if still a bit leathery. Amazing, as this is the best review I’ve given this wine in more than a decade. My only conclusion is that previous bottles were off.–1979 California Cabernet retrospective. Drink now through 2006. 506 cases made. –JL
