Wine Tasting at Mount Eden Vineyards
Located up a remote two-mile private road, Mount Eden is delighted to offer tasting by appointment.
Reservations are available Monday-Friday; we are closed weekends.
Signature Tasting
Enjoy our Signature Tasting seated on our veranda (weather permitting) overlooking the Santa Clara Valley. The Signature Tasting showcases our exceptional Santa Cruz Mountain wines, spotlighting both our Mount Eden Estate and Domaine Eden brands. The tasting will last about 1 hour.
Estate Tasting
Elevate your experience and upgrade to our Estate Tasting: The Estate flight focuses on our Mount Eden Estate wines, but with a twist; our Estate Wines are renowned for how well they age, and that is showcased by pouring previous-vintage Estate releases and a library Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.
To make your reservation online, follow the link below, or feel free to call us for assistance with scheduling. Due to the small size of our staff, we will not be able to accommodate you without an advanced appointment. We are unable to accommodate groups over six persons.

Getting to Mount Eden
We are located 2,000 feet up a remote 2.2-mile private road in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The first mile is paved and the remainder is dirt.
IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend using Google Maps. It is the only app that has correct directions to this location.
Enter the destination as Mount Eden Vineyards or 22020 Mount Eden Rd., Saratoga, CA.
- Turn onto HWY 9/Big Basin Way- go through the Saratoga village and continue on HWY 9 -1.5 miles
- Turn right onto Pierce Rd (there is a large sign for the Mountain Winery there)
- Take Pierce 1 mile, turn left onto Mount Eden Rd (it is the second 4 way intersection). Our driveway is ¼ miles down the road on the left hand side.
- The driveway is 2.2 miles and will take about 10-15 minutes to get to the top.

We want you to have an enjoyable visit to Mount Eden. Here are answers to our most frequently asked questions to help you plan your visit.
Do I need a reservation for a tasting?
Yes. Tastings are by appointment only, Monday through Friday. We are closed on weekends.
Are children allowed at tastings?
No. All visitors must be at least 21 years of age.
What happens if I arrive late?
Tasting appointments begin promptly at your reservation time. Late arrivals will result in a shortened experience.
Can I bring food and have a picnic at Mount Eden?
No. Picnicking is not permitted on the property.
Are dogs or pets allowed?
No. For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted.
Can I use Uber or Lyft to get to Mount Eden?
No. Due to our remote location, ride-share services like Uber and Lyft do not service our address. Please plan your transportation accordingly.
Should I avoid wearing perfume or cologne?
Yes. Strong fragrances can interfere with the wine-tasting experience, so we ask that you refrain from wearing them.
Is Mount Eden open on holidays?
We are closed on major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Christmas Day. At our discretion, we may also close on additional days surrounding holidays.
